Design Engineer position

Role – Design Engineer role
Location – Fakenham , Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – £30,000 – £40,000 per annum

Our client is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their Drawing office. The role focuses on modifying and improving existing designs, ensuring products are cost-effective, manufacturable, and meet high technical standards.
Main duties will includes –
 Production of accurate manufacturing drawings.
 Production of full assembly drawings & parts lists from manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
 Modifications and revision of design drawings.
 Aid production with troubleshooting and design improvements.
 Preparing concept designs for new products.
 Store and organise drawings, ensuring all information is accessible and up to date
 Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

Qualifications/Experience
 Experience in drawing office methods & practices
 Good all round knowledge of 2D/3D CAD systems as well as Microsoft Office.
 Experience with SolidWorks / SolidWorks PDM or similar CAD software.
 Ability to work as part of a small experienced team.
