AutoCAD Designer position

Role – CAD Technician position
Location –Based close to Thetford with the option of working remotely
Working hours – Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week – days
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – £30,000 per annum
Our client is a leading manufacturer within their sector and they are currently recruiting for a CAD technician to join their busy design team. Candidates will be proficient with AutoCAD as a industrial design package. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality designs that support project delivery to strict time, cost, and quality standards, while further developing their technical expertise in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Main duties will include –

• Produce accurate and compliant CAD drawings to support system design and project delivery
• Assist in estimating costs and materials based on approved designs
• Carry out site visits and surveys when required
• Maintain drawing version control and ensure documentation is up to date
• Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and clients to develop coordinated and constructible designs

Candidate attributes –

• Experience in AutoCAD Design
• Familiar with BS5839, BS8489, BS8458, and BIM Level 2
• Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office tools
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card (or ability to obtain)
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
