CNC Turning role

Role – CNC Turner position
Location – Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Salary – £16 – £18 per hour, depending on experience
Capacity of role – Permanent position

Our client is an established and reputable manufacturer who is interested in speaking to time served CNC machinists. Applicants will in particular have worked with Mazak CNC lathes and milling machines previously and will be looking to utilise their natural flair to further their skills within a modern workshop environment.

Main duties will include but not limit to –

 Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
 Setting up, program, and operate CNC Mazak turning machines.
 Perform routine maintenance on machinery and ensure optimal functioning.
 Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools.
 Adjust machine settings to optimise production efficiency.
 Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
 Document production activities and keep accurate records of outputs and machine performance.

Candidate attributes –
 Previous experience operating CNC turning machines.
 Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
 Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
 Ability to perform precision measurements using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
 Basic knowledge of CNC programming codes.
