Coating Inspector position

Role – Coating inspector role
Location – Based close to Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Salary – £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
Capacity of role – Permanent position

Our client is a leading manufacture who is looking for a Coating Inspector to join their busy workshop team. Candidates will have ideally worked in a similar position.

Main duties will include –
 To support industrial coating quality control on new work scopes.
 Conducting thorough inspections of coatings applied to various components, structural steel, pipes etc.
 Assessing coating quality, adhesion, thickness, and overall condition.
 Identifying and document any defects or non-conformities.
 Monitoring and ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
 Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures
 Review and approve inspection reports and test results.
 Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
 Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and quality control measures.
 Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding coating selection, application methods, and quality control procedures.

Candidate Attributes –
 NACE Level 2 (or equivalent) Coating Inspector certification
 Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and codes.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
