Slinger/Yardsperson role

Role – Slinger/ Yard Person
Location – Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent position
Rate of pay – Up to £16.10 per hour

Our client is a leading manufacture who is currently recruiting for a slinger/yards person to join them within a temporary to permanent basis.
Candidates will have worked in a similar position previously.
Main duties will include –
 To assist in the lifting and moving by mobile crane of steel plates working and communicating closely with the crane driver and machine operator to have material ready for the machines.
 After processing these will need to be put away into appropriate stock areas making sure plates are marked appropriately.
 Unloading materials from deliveries and putting away into the appropriate areas.
 Maintaining the health and safety and cleanliness of the yard
 Review existing storage locations , disposing of redundant stock
 General labouring duties as required.

Candidate attributes –
 Previous experience working in a similar position
 Good communication skills – both written and verbal
