Vehicle Technician position

Role – Vehicle technician
Location – Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Working hours – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm and one Saturday in Three 8.00am to 12.30pm
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – Up to £40,000 per annum

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced automotive technician to join their busy service team.
Applicants will have worked in a similar position previously and will be able to priortise and work to targets.

Main duties will include –

 Carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on vehicles
 Performing advanced fault-finding duties using manufacturers systems and specialist tools.
 Complete vehicle health checks and electronic reports accurately.
 Undertake warranty work in line with manufacturer standards.
 Carry out MOT testing (if qualified), brake repairs, tyre fitting and air conditioning servicing.
 Work closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer satisfaction

Candidate attributes –

o Level 3 NVQ (or higher equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
o Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
o Experience working with modern vehicle systems and manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
o Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
o Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
o MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage.
